Statement of Purpose

As a dynamic church, proclaiming God through His word and through His Son Jesus Christ, we purpose to make disciples of Christ by:

Exalting God
Encouraging Christians toward spiritual maturity
Equipping Christians to ministry
Evangelizing the world for Christ
Exciting fellowship

Mission Statement

The mission of the church shall be to evangelize the lost, disciple the saved, while equipping and caring for the family so that all of West Georgia may know Christ.

History

In early 2002, it became evident that as a church body Rocky Mount needed to revisit its purpose and mission. With prayer, input from the church body, and leading from the Holy Spirit the church brought forth the Statement of Purpose and Mission that is written above. The Statement of Purpose and Mission were unanimously approved by the church in conference in October of 2002.
