Sunday School

"Gather the people together, men, women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the Lord your God, and observe to do all the word of this law . . ."  Deuteronomy 31:12

At Rocky Mount, Sunday School is not simply a time to reread familiar Bible stories but is a vital part of the worship service. During this time the Word of God is opened and His Truth, love, and grace are taught. We realize that Sunday School is an essential part of preparation for the worship service. It is a time where we can explore God's Word together through healthy conversation and heartfealt expression.

For children it is a time of fun and learning as they discover all the riches of God's Word through study, memorization, and play. Our youth and college students deapen their understanding of scriptures and expand the application of the Word of God that they've learned.

Sunday School at Rocky Mount is not only a time of studying God's Word, but also of getting to know one another better through fellowship both in and outside of classes. Different social events outside of class times help us to grow closer together by expanding our relationships outside the church's four walls.
